With just a swipe of lipstick and a flick of eyeliner, I feel so much more self-confident, and because of this, I have accidentally accumulated quite the collection of makeup u__u

Until recently, my makeup had been scattered haphazardly throughout my room, desk, & bathroom (I'm quite messy heh!) - so when I saw this cat makeup bag on Forever 21 I might have freaked out a bit!

When I received it the other day, I was inspired to photograph and share some of my makeup essentials with you! ♡

Though I usually stick to drugstore makeup, I have been known to splurge occasionally on lip products from MAC - (I can't resist when they do special collaborations animated characters) their Disney Villains Toxic Tale lipstick is the shade I reach for the most!

Meanwhile, I usually stick to doing a bit of a cateye and mascara on both my upper and lower lashes, and this Wet n Wild eyeliner (recommended to me by Marlena ♡♡♡) and Maybelline mascara does the trick perfectly! I'm not very good at eyeshadow (it confuses me I'm sad to admit u__u) but the now discontinued white shadow I got years ago from Urban Decay is my favorite - I'm sad because I've almost used it all up and I can't find anymore! ;_;

    Oh those makeup bags are too cute! I'm pretty flaky with makeup brands - constantly trying new products. Always have to have a bright red lipstick in my arsenal though. Right now it's a Stila lip crayon thing.

    Also if you miss Yeyo try Tako by Sugarpill, I miss alot of UD's old stuff too and Sugarpill is amazing for finding replacement colors. x

    That is the cutest make up bag I have ever laid eyes on and I'm jealous of your MAC Disney and Archie products! I'm certainly going to check out that Wet n Wild liner I'm struggling to find one that allows me to do a cat eye with ease.
    My make up essentials are Urban Decay's Lush Lash Mascara, I've actually noticed a great difference in my lash growth, E.L.F.'s Brow Kit, and currently I'm coveting Lime Crime's Velvetines in Red Velvet.

    I love retro red it is my go to lip stick most of the time. I also really like wet n wild eye liner though I must admit I am hopelessly bad at doing my eye liner ha.
    My essentials are Rimmel Extra Super Lash, Clinique All Heart lipstick, NYC Skyline Blue nail polish, and any candy flavored chapsticks I can find! =p

    such a great post! i love your collection. i love chanel nail polish. i have a couple colors & would love to own more someday. the cat makeup bag is to die for. i definitely think i will have to order it! <3

    I am so envious of your collection! I am terrible when it comes to makeup, I deliberate too much and think "I'll buy that lipstick when I have just a bit more money..." but I never do! haha. I am much more drawn to frivolously spending money on clothes than on makeup, even if I do so badly want some MAC products

    I saw that cat bag and almost got it and I'm sad I didn't! It's so cute! I love posts like this where you get people's go-to makeup items. If I have to throw some makeup on I reach for liquid liner and a bold lip too! I can't have enough makeup lately.

    It looks like you have a great collection of makeup stuff! :D I'm seriously crying over how perfect that cat bag is. It's so cuuute! *o*

    Quick question- Is that Divine lipstick really as purple as it looks? I haven't had much luck finding a true purple drugstore lipstick. They're always way too plummy or way too pink. >.< I've been thinking of getting this one, though. It looks really nice in the tube!

    I just bought'em after using the same old drugstore brand brushes for years, and they work wonderfully! I don't consider myself to be super skillful when it comes to eye makeup, but I've been able to do some really great looks with these! & they're cruelty-free, so that's a plus. :)

    Oh, and one last thing! If you ever need a nice (& cheap) eyeshadow base try using wet'n'wild's white pencil liner. Your eyeshadow will literally stay on all day with this! It's the perfect consistency (creamy and blendable, not greasy) & it's a bright white so it'll make your colors pop. Okay, I'm done. Sorry for the super long comment! x.x

      Divine is weird because sometimes it looks super purple, and other times it looks more pink! Here are pictures of me wearing it to hopefully give you a better idea of it!

    your make up colelction is awesome, I used to have that mascara too & I remember loving it ^^ I can't live without Isadora's liquid eyeliner! & since I am a ginger & have a hard time finding a foundation that is light enough (sigh...) I can't live without Make Up Store's lightest foundation!

    I'm also a mostly drugstore makeup type girl (except the occasional Benefit product)... But since becoming a "beauty consultant" at Macy's I've learned that a lot of the makeup products are fluff and are there to just look pretty and appealing. I play a lot with the makeup at work and it's rare I get impressed by them. I never got compliments on my foundation until I bought a new maybelline powder the other day (before that I would just put foundation on at work, using expensive stuff)... and these comments came from fellow consultants!
    Granted this doesn't apply to all places, but I just thought I'd put that out there.
    I usually can't resist a cute Disney product either (being an ex-cast member)... I love your collection! Eye shadow still confuses me as well, it can be very tricky to get it to look right. Watching tutorials on YouTube are a BIG help!!

    Oooh, so interesting to see your tools of the trade! ;) I pretty much wear just eyeliner, or nothing at all... I am a completely lazy makeup-wearer (which is funny because I was a costume & makeup major, but street makeup is a lot different than stage & special effects makeup, haha). Plus I only buy cruelty-free now, so it's a little bit limiting brand-wise, which I don't mind since it narrows down what I even bother looking at. So far e.l.f. and Wet n Wild are my go-to brands. No animal testing AND they're super inexpensive. Also, that kitty bag is adoooorable!

    I have a book called "Style me vintage - make up", its stunning!. It only cost me 7€ and it have a tons of tricks of differents decades we love. I usually bought this type of things and I take the instructions on my personal way.

    And my make-up esencials are the candy-eye primer of lime crime, cause I have greasy eyelids, the pot eyeliner of the brand essence (It only cost me a few €) and finally the benetint and the high brow pencil of benefit

    ohh, those cat make up bags are SO sweet, i wish forever21 would ship internationally without charging crazy prices because i would buy those in a heartbeat! also i've just started getting really really into make up the last few weeks so i've been checking out different brands lots of beauty bloggers recommend like urban decay and cheaper ones like NYC and ELF and of course MAC which i use every day, so i'm glad to see some recommendations from you too! :)
