SHIRT: Forever 21 DRESS: Forever 21 LADY TIE: c/o Flapper Girl TIGHTS: Forever 21 SHOES: Kohls (similar)

Happy Pi Day everybody! It's actually rather fitting that I'm posting this outfit today, because I wore this to see Life of Pi at the theater a couple days ago! The movie, by the way, was absolutely stunning ;_;

I'm totally in love with the cut and detailing of this dress! It looks so simple, but the darting and added volume at the waist make it stand out - and how cute does it look with this polka-dot blouse? The dress also comes in lavender - but sadly my size is sold out u___u

(Obviously, my true calling was being a chorus girl in a B-grade 50s musical.)

I'm also wearing the gorgeous lady tie Miss Christine from Flapper Girl gifted me!

Lately I've been working on a big commission, so I might be a bit quiet for the next few days! Are you lovelies up to anything interesting?

P.S. I'm not entirely sure what's going on re: Google Reader being retired & what that means for GFC etc, etc - but you can always follow Mermaidens with Bloglovin'!

DRESS: ModCloth SHIRT: (worn under dress) ?? LADY TIE: c/o Flapper Girl TIGHTS: c/o Tabbi Socks SHOES: Kohls

This winter has been freezing - I'm embarrassed to admit I was stomping around in my mom's ugg boots (I was desperate I'm telling you!) and my father's coat in a not very attractive attempt to stay warm before I got my brand new coat; but luckily, I was able to steal away some sun and *finally* show you this outfit!

The talented and sweet Christine, owner of Flapper Girl, sent me this lady tie for review and I absolutely ADORE it! Not only did it arrive in the best packaging ever, but it is so well made and I'm already thinking up how I can base a Valentine's Day outfit around it ♡_♡

Also included was the most incredible fabric I have ever seen - Christine was kind enough to send along this mermaid textile simply because it reminded her of me! ;__; I'm too afraid to cut it - nothing my clumsy hands could make doesn't seem quite worthy of it :') Thank you again so much Christine!

I'm also completely in love with these tights from Tabbi Socks - who wouldn't want to run around with bespeckled legs?!

Meanwhile, I dyed my hair with Cupcake Pink from Special Effects diluted with conditioner and it turned out really peachy - I think I love it! What do you think?
