Candy Floss

After a winter that has seemed to last forever, it seems the sun has finally begun to peek through the clouds and I'm ecstatic! There is something about the way the sun streams into my room that is just so gorgeous; which I tried to capture in the above picture - I had to share even with my silly, ~*~serious face and messy background!

In the beginning of March I had the pleasure to explore a big mall for the first time in years (the last place I lived for 3+ years had no malls!) with my friend Kayla and had the most wonderful time! There was an ice cream shop, MAC Cosmetics (I'm going back for some new lipstick soon *_*), Sephora, Forever 21, a theater, bookstore, and most importantly, a photobooth! I've never been in one before, and had such fun (as evidenced by my face in the middle picture hehe)! My friend is covered up for now - not sure if she would approve of me posting her on here just yet :)

I went a bit overboard in Forever 21 - there was so much cute stuff *_* I ended up getting this skirt, black dress (which you will see in my next post!), blouse, and pink dress! In my defense, I hadn't been there in ages! ;P

Also got some candy, but of course! ^^

February Highlights

Saying goodbye to a month is always sad for me (cue "where has the time gone!!!" moments of PANIC), so in order to cheer myself up, I decided to compile some of my favorite things that happened this February into a "month in review" type post! Hello! I hope you all had a lovely Valentine's Day! ♡ Yesterday I took advantage of the warmer weather to get some pictures of this outfit - in front of an abandoned trailer no less!

This mirrored mermaid necklace was a wonderful gift from Laura of I Love Crafty - and the second I Love Crafty piece I have been fortunate enough to review! I'm floored by how professional, adorable, and detailed her pieces are! This is part of her brand new collection, Ahoy Sailor, which just launched today on her etsy! Isn't it adorable? This sequined cream sweater was a thrifted find (for only $3! *_*), and I finally found this pink collar on eBay after pining for it after I saw Charlotte from Thoughts from Another Kook wearing one!

And finally, can you believe this skirt!? One of my favorite UK stores, Dahlia, was sweet enough to send it to me! The laser cut eyelet detailing is almost too divine for words - and I'm so in love with the silhouette of skater skirts! I'm already planning more outfits centered around it *_* Dahlia is actually having a giveaway where you can win an entire season of Dahlia clothing - you can find more details here!

Hello - Happy ♡ February ♡ (∗ ❛ั ᵕ ❛ั )! Yesterday I visited the local rose garden! It's technically winter (though the weather was surprisely warm that day!) so there wasn't very many roses, but the few I did see were lovely and I can tell it's going to look gorgeous when everything is in bloom - definitely will have to visit again!

For this little adventure, I donned this dress Amy from Mod Dolly sent me - I was absolutely stunned by how beautifully made this dress is! I loveee the v-neck back and beautiful skirt overlay, but the beaded Peter Pan collar is positively splendiferous and my favorite feature! *_*

I actually helped Amy design a brand new lifestyle blog recently - stop by City Girl Slim to see the header I illustrated and let me know what you think! I'm rather proud of it :3

I also recently received this candy heart barrette and shell purse as part of a belated birthday present from Miss Marlena (aka my favorite person ever??) - you will be seeing the rest of what was in the box very very soon >;3 I'm o b s e s s e d with this purse and I absolutely ADORE the barrette - which you can actually purchase from Marlena's brand new shop Poptones! I WILL BE WEARING MINE ALL FEBRUARY IN HONOR OF VALENTINE'S DAY ♡＾▽＾♡

My Desk

I have to admit - I moved months ago and I still have yet to unpack the majority of my things! It's so hard to get motivated enough to unpack and assemble everything - however, having gotten sick of having papers and books cluttered everywhere, I finally organized my desk and LOVE the result so much I just had to share a closer look with you all! ♡

My actual desk is somewhat short, so I elongated it by stacking two boxes and covering the ugly cardboard with cute bedding and old selves! I placed two of my favorite vinyl records (Prince's Purple Rain and the soundtrack to Disney's Cinderella) on top and arranged my lipstick collection and resourceful/inspirational books (including thrifted Disney golden books, Creative Inc., Pretty: The NYLON Book of Beauty, & The Teen Vogue Handbook)!

Also pictured: the ADORABLE sweater clips Miss Annika made specially for me of Finn and Jake from Adventure Time (to be worn in an outfit post soon)!

Closer to my actual computer you can find even more books (two Style Me Vintage books & 50 Fashion Designers You Should Know), my planner, vintage Alice in Wonderland Paperdolls, pins I made (one of which made out of a sticker illustrated by Wishcandy), my Fred Flare ice cream lamp, the gorgeous mermaid fabric gifted to me by Christine, my Judy Jetson watch, and my Locketship cat/ice cream bow (still one of my favorite things EVER *__*).

And decorating the walls is my flapper tie, pink measuring tape, new dress from Mod Dolly (another sneak peek to a future outfit post!), and my gorgeous I Love Crafty necklace ♡
