Beauty Icon: Elizabeth Taylor

Sunday, December 18, 2011

How does one even begin to write a post about Elizabeth Taylor? The iconic woman who had her first break-out role at the tender age of 12, has been attributed as being the most beautiful woman in the world. Indeed, it is not hard to see why: her signature look, consisting of perfectly shaped eyebrows, gorgeous dark hair, and violet eyes have captivated film lovers over the course of many different movies, husbands, and eras!

Elizabeth's incredible filmography proves she had the talent to back up her star status - Suddenly, Last Summer being an incredibly haunting and claustrophobic film. One thing I truly love about Elizabeth is she used her fame to help people - she has raised more than $270 million for HIV and AIDS-related projects.

Do you have a favourite Elizabeth Taylor film?

  2. I loved her in Giant. But I'm also a huge James Dean fan, so my favorite is probably based on that. Either way, I love this post. She was so incredibly beautiful. And those eyebrows...whew! Perfection.

  17. Is it shameful to say I don't think I've seen anything with her in? Obviously she's such an icon - I'm more of a closet James Dean fan though haha! All the same she was stunningly beautiful. ♥ Claire @ Jazzpad

  21. I did a post on her too a while ago, but more focused on her style than her beauty.. which is not difficult to miss.. she was in deed gorgeous, a great actress and a magnificent person.. I love Cleopatra, she looks so glamorous in that move; and I think she's hillarious in Who's affraid of virginia wolf.. Cat on a hot tin roof's also a good one, haven't seen the one you mention though... will have to look for that one.
    cool post, happy holidays
