I was introduced to Samantha Pleet through Tara Violet Niami and Hannah Metz last year, and with spring in the air, I keep thinking back to her gorgeous Spring 2014 collection - with which I've been smitten with since I first saw it!.

The mixture of gorgeous prints, quiet sophistication, and attention to details makes her one of my favorite designers right now and the dreamy fashion films Pleet creates with her group of bright young talents is like icing on the cake! I think my favorite pieces from the collection are the gorgeous foliage covered matching top and bottom, the airy seafoam Tabernacle dress and Scout Dress in Fauna! ♡

Label Love: Dear Creatures

Founded by Bianca Benitez and Rob Sinclair, Dear Creatures features the sweetest vintage inspired collars, color schemes and silhouettes with a modern twist. My introduction to the brand was the lovely Sandra posting about their Fall 2012 collection and I've been in love ever since!

I am particularly taken with their newly released Autumn 2013 lookbook - with pieces in muted hues of navy, mustard, and burgundy, this collection is exactly what my dream fall wardrobe would look like! The campaign, Girl About Town (photographed by Yudi Ela Echevarria with the gorgeous Annie Monroe as model), reminds me of Marlo Thomas as That Girl with the hair and clothing reminiscent of the 60s and city backdrop!

Hello! So sorry for the unintentional hiatus! I've been trying to come up with some new post ideas for Mermaidens, and since I have *also* been meaning to experiment more with illustrating, decided on a new series where I illustrate some pieces from my favorite brands! First up is U.K. brand, Lazy Oaf!

I am absolutely head over heels in love with their new watermelon shorts from their collection with Nasty Gal! As we are going into summer all I can do is dream of l(azy)oafing (sorry, pun) around in their adorable crop tops, circle skirts, and watermelon themed pieces (♡ᴥ♡)

These adorable cat socks are actually on their way to me, and I'm also really loving this Love, Money, Pizza Crop Top that I first saw Jade from Little Mix wearing! I love the 50s diner waitress vibes I'm getting from it *__*
