FLATS: Missguided CLUTCH: c/o ASOS BERET: c/o Larmoni
How is 2015 treating you guys so far? I'm going to be honest, January hasn't been the kindest to me - it was really getting me down but I'm feeling more positive and determined to not let that derail me!
I'm combatting the dreary weather by dressing up in this bright, lip print sweater Lauren from Emerging Thoughts, one of my very favorite shops, sent me! I'm kind of picky when it comes to the fit of my sweaters - but this one fits beautifully and looks GORGEOUS on! Also, the thicker knit kept me warm (afraid I can't say the same thing about my legs... which were freezing haha!).
I paired the sweater with my matching lips bag that my blogging bff Marlena sent me and I picked up my shoes from Missguided in one of their sales. I've been hunting for a pair of t-bar flats for a while, and these are darling!
If you follow me on Instagram you will also note I've completely fallen for American Apparel's tennis skirts - the high-waist and pleated design GOT TO ME and I had to splurge. That said, I probably should have gone up a size, oh dear :|
After wanting one for a couple years, I finally own the perfect pink coat thanks to Kling! Kling has quickly become one of my very favorite brands - their designs are always colorful, playful, and original - and every new season I feel like they out do themselves! Unfortunately this coat sold out pretty quick on their official website, but is available on other retailers like Emerging Thoughts!
The dress I'm wearing under the coat is also by Kling - it's a two tone dress with beautiful accents and a darling collar!
I paired it with this darling rose gold bracelet from Ban.do, a wire headband also by Ban.do, and my new favorite shoes.
These shoes were sold out forever in my size on ASOS - so I kept stalking the product page and finally was able to get them! The little pom pom is SO. CUTE. Is it wrong I kind of want to glue pom poms on all my shoes now?
I love Berta's work because so much of it looks and feels spontaneous and in the moment - like you are witnessing a private moment between friends! I think Berta has the ability to draw that out of people, she is extremely charming, laid back, and always has a twinkle in her eye - which makes her a joy to work with!
We shot these at her cute apartment (where I met her darling cat Klaus!), a cafe where we ate yogurt parfaits, and in front of a pink house (can I live there please?)!
As you know, I'm pretty smitten with Kling's clothing so it was so much fun to dress up in their upcoming winter collection! I will be sure to let you guys know when it's released - I'm in love with the fluffy pink jumper and navy collar dress! It's also extremely exciting to be published in Ruby Star - a magazine I have admired for the beautiful editorials and amazing photographers they spotlight since I discovered it earlier this year!
You can view the feature online HERE <3 ps, online there was a misprint and the model is listed as somebody else, but I assure you that's me! haha :')

A frequent favorite of mine, British clothing brand Dahlia has truly outdone themselves with this dress - ETA: and it's now on sale! I am so smitten with it because the style reminds me of several different time periods: the Edwardian era's "demure" high collars, but calling to mind the liberated flappers from the 1920s as they started trading in the restrictive corsets for dropped waists and inching towards shorter and shorter skirts. Zelda Sayre right before and after she met F. Scott Fitzgerald is a perfect example!
It ended up reading more 1960s when I styled it - with my slightly heavy-handed mascara and eyeliner application (… oops) and pop art accessories - another one of my favorite eras for clothing! I was actually slightly apprehensive about how it would look on me (I'm always a tiny bit nervous to stray from my favorite tight waist, flared skirt silhouette), but I'm absolutely in love with how it looked on ♥
I wore what has become the cutest necklace in my stash - this sprinkled donut piece by I Love Crafty! I have been a fan of I Love Crafty for years now, and Laura continues to blow me away with her talent and excellent taste!
And finally, my matching cloud print shoes and purse are from another brand that has become a fast favorite of mine, Kling! I am always a huge fan of novelty prints, and the graphic, technicolor cloud print on these is a dream.
I hope you all had a beautiful weekend! ♡
