These photos were taken on a crisp Wednesday afternoon - after a busy and slightly overwhelming past two weeks (but exciting and very rewarding!), I bundled up in my mint coat and went out to brunch. I visited a new (to me) cafe nestled downtown and ended up sitting outside since inside was rather cramped - but when I sat down, the sun burst through the grey clouds and shown down!
It was such a nice change of pace and very relaxing!
How darling is this coat? I love the minty shade, faux fur collar, and there is even a little bow in the back - so darling! I paired it with an ice cream clutch and pink beret ❣
Maybe it's because I'm looking so forward to spring, or maybe it's the rose themed makeup products I'm currently testing (look out for a blog post on that soon!) - but either way, I can't stop humming La Vie en rose! I also thought the term la vie en rose was an apropos way to describe this outfit - with romantic, dusty rose pinks and heart patterned tights, this look is also perfect for Valentine's Day! Then again, I rarely need an excuse for incorporating pink hues, ribbons, hearts, and pom-poms in my wardrobe...
I took these on a rather freezing afternoon * outside an adorable pâtisserie ** and an older gentlemen remarked "I'm cold just looking at you!" 😂 In general I gravitate towards solid colored walls for ootd backgrounds, and while I still like them, I feel like my photos tend to come off a bit sterile and impersonal for this reason - and that is the opposite of what I want! I guess I was trying to make everything look "perfect" - and when you are surrounded by power lines, cars, and trash it makes it difficult - but I'm going to make an effort to challenge myself with new, more interesting locations. Please let me know your thoughts on this, I'd love to get your feedback!
Hope you are having a lovely 2018 so far and I'll see you again soon ♡

** Can you call a bakery that if it's not in France or Belgium...? Heh
I am pleased as punch to team up with ModCloth again on another Fall look! Certain pieces immediately "tell" me a story when I see them - I like to make up little storylines around products that "speak to me" (who else does this?). That was definitely the case when I saw this adorable cat print button up and emerald pinafore - my mind immediately conjured up a girl surrounded by vintage books and beautiful fall leaves! I tried my best to make that a reality with these pictures, and borrowed a few books from my mothers collection (she loves vintage as much as I do)!
I paired these darling pieces with socks with cat faces on them (SO cute!) and mustard flats for a day consisting of haunting a few used bookshops. Truly the perfect way to spend a Fall day!

August is winding down, and although I love summer fashion, I am excited for cooler weather that enables warmer pieces like tights, and chunky knits. Not to mention, the beautiful hues I associate fall with - think wines, mustards, and jewel tones! To usher in the season, I teamed up with Modcloth to share a fall look - the perfect place to stock up on cute cardigans and quirky tights! I love that their clothing fits a wide range of sizes - from XXS to 4X.
I love this burgundy A-line skirt, and paired it with a dainty pink Peter Pan collar blouse. For accessories, I couldn't resist a novelty purse shaped like a camera bag and these delicate sheer tights with heart accents! Finally, these brogues are so unique and comfy to boot - I'm looking forward to wearing them every where I can!
What are you looking forward to the most about Fall?

How darling is this romper? The second I saw this on ASOS, I needed it! The beautiful pastel blue, flutter sleeves, and low back set my heart, well, a-flutter (ba dum tiss) - and I can't stop wearing it! Paired with a cute novelty purse, I feel like this is my perfect outfit to say goodbye to summer too (sob sob!) <3
Being associated with mermaids, which I've been obsessed with since childhood, is so exciting to me! People are always directing my attention to mermaid inspired purses, shirts, movies, art, etc - and I love it! I try to dress up as a mermaid whenever possible - and this top by Maven Boutique LA has just made it so much easier!
Available in three colors, the glittering seashells on this tank add the perfect amount of novelty and really dress up what could have been a simple shorts and tee look.
I paired it with my Motel Rocks shorts that have a beautiful sheen, cute pumps by T.U.K. shoes, and my trusty seashell purse I got from ModCloth ages ago!
Now all I need are some cute cartoon underwater creatures for sidekicks...
