Samantha was sweet enough to send me one of my favorite pieces from the line - the Scout Dress has a gorgeous leafy vine and oranges print. My favorite part of the dress would have to be the cut out, knotted detailing, however! It's unlike anything I have in my wardrobe, and so perfect for Spring!
Happy New Year! Feeling incredibly optimistic looking towards 2015 - a blank slate was exactly what I needed! Feeling re-energized and busy making goals. I was also thinking about doing a 2014 highlights post - but apparently people don't like them? :C What do you think?
ANYHOO LEMME TALK ABOUT THIS GORGEOUS OUTFIT. Can we all just take a moment to gush over this stunning black with a sheer overlay number the babes at Hello Holiday sent me?!
This dress manages to incorporate so many of my favorite things - sheer elements, a Peter Pan collar, a fit and flare silhouette. The silhouette gives it a retro feel, but the use of sheer and wholly original take on the Peter Pan collar gives it a fresh spin! Truly a perfect dress, and you can take 20% off your order with the code "2015" on Hello Holiday now!
Moving onto accessories, I paired the dress with the cutest peppermint clutch! Handmade in London by Luna on the Moon, this clutch is completely covered in chunky glitter that seriously won't budge - beautifully made, appeals to my sweet tooth and it even arrived with pop rocks candy!
And finally, my darling flower garland was a gift from Georgie at Beauxoxo - I am lucky enough to own a couple pieces from Georgie's line and am forever impressed by the quality and sheer beauty! This one might just be my favorite, with delicate gold leaf and white roses - it looks so striking with my pink hair!
Hope you are having a good start to 2015 <3
I wore it with my dream pair of pink roller skates by Moxi, a holographic gold seashell purse SwayChic was kind enough to send me, and this darling ice cream ring by Tiny Hands Jewelry!
Rolling around on pink roller skates at the local park caused quite the stir, not surprisingly…! Shockingly, though, people actually stopped to compliment my outfit (as opposed to the usual blank and incredulous stares I usually get…) which totally made my day!
Told you I'd be back soon! ヽ(*⌒∇⌒*)ノ Thank you so, so much for such a warm welcome back! I have missed you all terribly and the support and love I feel radiating from you guys is absolutely priceless and very dear to me ♡
And now, to blab about how much I love what I'm wearing! Do you ever put an outfit on and it just feels perfect? Because exactly how I felt when I donned this skirt with suspender straps from Choies!
The flared out circle skirt is the absolute dreamiest shape, and the shoulder straps elevate it from a simple black skirt! I should note, however, you should definitely have somebody zip you into this because I almost dislocated my shoulder trying to get in it by myself haha!
I paired it with the most adorable crop top from Forever 21 (the sailor collar!! *__* I actually bought it a size up because they didn't have my size in stock and I just had to have it ~_~), scalloped tights from Urban Outfitters, and black flats I got for only $6 at Wal-Mart; though they kind of blend in with my tights and look like I'm not wearing any shoes... oh well!
This week is shaping up to be a lovely one! These past couple of days I have been productive with work, ate quite a few creamsicles, have been getting excited for one of my friend's graduation party next month, have been enjoying cooler weather, will be visiting my grandparents tomorrow, and have had some of the most incredible Skype conversations with my friend Bertha (who is the one who convinced me to start watching Teen Wolf... and I might've watched all three seasons in little over a week (・`ω´・))
All in all I'm feeling very optimistic and excited, and I hope you are having a good week too! ♡ And since I look way too serious in these pictures - here's a slightly embarrassing picture of me which a huge, silly grin on my face!
