DRESS: c/o Motel Rocks SHOES:Hello Holiday PURSE:SwayChic BRACELET:Ban.do
NAIL DECALS:Emerging Thoughts

Presenting: the perfect party dress! Motel Rocks is always making beautiful, swoon worthy pieces but I feel like they have absolutely outdone themselves with this dress! Covered in shimmering, iridescent sequins in shades of green and with a beautiful plunging back, it's even more beautiful in person - and, when the light or sun hits it just so, I would become a walking disco ball!

It also happens to be a dress perfect for wannabe mermaids such as myself… hehe.

I wanted to play up the mermaid aspect of the dress by accessorizing with this gold shell purse by SwayChic and continued the gold theme with my favorite wedges from Hello Holiday! They are surprisingly easy to walk in, and I could honestly stare at them for hours - the glitter is just so pretty! *__*

Finally, I added this cute gold and mint "Party Time!" bracelet from Ban.do. This outfit is so glitzy and fun - I kiiiind of want to throw a party just so I can wear this outfit...

COAT:Kling DRESS:Kling SHOES: ASOS PURSE: ModCloth HEADBAND:Ban.do BRACELET:Ban.do NAIL DECALS:Emerging Thoughts

After wanting one for a couple years, I finally own the perfect pink coat thanks to Kling! Kling has quickly become one of my very favorite brands - their designs are always colorful, playful, and original - and every new season I feel like they out do themselves! Unfortunately this coat sold out pretty quick on their official website, but is available on other retailers like Emerging Thoughts!

The dress I'm wearing under the coat is also by Kling - it's a two tone dress with beautiful accents and a darling collar!

I paired it with this darling rose gold bracelet from Ban.do, a wire headband also by Ban.do, and my new favorite shoes.

These shoes were sold out forever in my size on ASOS - so I kept stalking the product page and finally was able to get them! The little pom pom is SO. CUTE. Is it wrong I kind of want to glue pom poms on all my shoes now?

Self Portrait: Barbie

Thursday, November 13, 2014

If you follow me on instagram and tumblr, you'll have already seen these - but for the sake of properly archiving I wanted to post these here as well! I have been itching to do self portraits with my DSLR for months, and I finally got a camera remote to do that!

For my first test run, I wanted to do something pretty foolproof as far as makeup and styling goes, so I just did my trademark retro Barbie styling - but this time, added my rendition of 90s Barbie for something a bit different!

I hope you guys like them! I obviously have a lot more practice I need to do, but I'm pretty happy with how they turned out considering this was the first time I dipped my toe into self portraits with a camera remote <3

DRESS:Hello Harriet HEADSCARF: ASOS SOCKS: American Apparel TOTE:Hello Harriet

Long time no see! As always when I disappear for periods of time, I've been buried under work/stress BUT I can finally blog again now that I've fought my way out of it! ;___; What better way to kick things off with a handmade pink cat dress?!

The dress in question being this darling number by Hello Harriet. I've been following Harriet for years now (!) and have always been in love with her drawings of the original grumpy cat. Harriet recently expanded her line of cat adorned pieces to include dresses. And she sent me one.

Made in a smock silhouette and covered in Harriet's signature kitties, this is without a doubt one of the cutest dresses in my wardrobe! The first smock dress I have owned, it has definitely converted me - it's just such an easy, playful shape! This dress is also really beautifully made and I can imagine it styled in so many ways - I think I'm going to wear it with a detachable collar next!

I paired it with a tote Harriet was generous enough to send me as well - it has a grouchy looking cat saying "no"…! Hearts in my eyes!

Lately I've been wearing my makeup a lil different! I've been trying to teach myself how to do eyeshadow ~looks, and I'm super into this dramatic purple eyeshadow inspired by 60s icon Catherine Deneuve. AND I finally taught myself how to apply false eyelashes and it is game changing. Anyhoo, sorry if this is boring but I'm super excited about it haha :'))

Super excited to be blogging again and I'll be back with more outfits soooon!! Love you guys <3

Samantha Pleet SS15 Lookbook

Friday, October 17, 2014

I didn't think I could love Samantha Pleet's designs any more - and then I saw the new SS15 collection…! Bubblegum walls, cotton candy carpet, and pastel fixtures surround the beautiful models decked out in scalloped yellow matching sets, denim bell bottoms, and swimsuits decorated in seashells.

My favorite pieces would have to be the blue matching set and dress above - that sheer overlay fabric with sparkles is nothing short of a dream come true and reminds me of the blue fairy in Disney's Pinocchio *__*

I hope you have a great weekend! <3

Spooky by Berta Pfirsich for Ruby Star

Wednesday, October 8, 2014

This August I was reunited with Berta Pfirsich to shoot an editorial wearing Kling clothing for Ruby Star magazine!

I love Berta's work because so much of it looks and feels spontaneous and in the moment - like you are witnessing a private moment between friends! I think Berta has the ability to draw that out of people, she is extremely charming, laid back, and always has a twinkle in her eye - which makes her a joy to work with!

We shot these at her cute apartment (where I met her darling cat Klaus!), a cafe where we ate yogurt parfaits, and in front of a pink house (can I live there please?)!

As you know, I'm pretty smitten with Kling's clothing so it was so much fun to dress up in their upcoming winter collection! I will be sure to let you guys know when it's released - I'm in love with the fluffy pink jumper and navy collar dress! It's also extremely exciting to be published in Ruby Star - a magazine I have admired for the beautiful editorials and amazing photographers they spotlight since I discovered it earlier this year!

You can view the feature online HERE <3 ps, online there was a misprint and the model is listed as somebody else, but I assure you that's me! haha :')
